Sitges is a very famous town near Barcelona. The journey takes about 20-30 minutes by car and it is a fantastic drive. On the way, you see some beautiful scenery and also some very ugly scenery as well. I say ugly, because you go through some ugly towns with ugly flats and terrible crowded roads. Towns like Viladecans and Gava are very ugly in central areas.
But lets talk about the good things in life. The journey also goes through some beautiful mountain passes, smooth winding roads, wonderful sea veiws etc.
When you actually reach Sitges, you kind of feel a bit disappointed in that you have come back to a town, which has a lot of ugly flats and appartments near the central areas. However, if you go to some beach areas in Sitges, you will see some amazing mansions which are owned by some very crazy rich people (probably the Barca players).
I will recommend Sitges to anyone who enjoys a town which reminds them of the UK. It reminded me of Windsor near London, because it was also historical and had narrow streets.
Try to visit Sitges when there are a lot of tourists! It gets very busy and noisy.
